+DarkLord #9 Posted November 16, 2010 I just hope and pray all these classic machines wind up in the hands of enthusiasts, who will put them to good use, and not some landfill.
svenski #10 Posted November 16, 2010 My wife is pretty understanding when it comes to Atari but I don't think she'd be THAT understanding
+wood_jl #11 Posted November 17, 2010 I hope he "Scotchguarded" them in case it rains.
wildoliver #12 Posted November 17, 2010 Yes that berk bid on an item of mine on ebay then cancelled his bid just before the end of the auction meaning someone won them for peanuts. He's now banned from bidding on my items!!

nathanallan #15 Posted November 17, 2010 I see he has one box there, and it's black. I have one and it's light gray. Are many of these boxes like mine? Did I get a bulk style one, with no fancy graphics? I'll have to take a picture.
svenski #16 Posted November 17, 2010 Atari sold a lot of STs in specific packs with bundled games and utilities , at least in the UK, such as the "Discovery Pack" which I think that might the box from. I see he has one box there, and it's black. I have one and it's light gray. Are many of these boxes like mine? Did I get a bulk style one, with no fancy graphics? I'll have to take a picture. carmel_andrews #17 Posted November 17, 2010 That Pic could be the back of Derek Fern's (Mr Micro Discount) abode in Birmingham. After all i recall he did some sort of deal with Atari UK and promptly cleared their slough warehouse (probably also gobbled up some ST/Falcon kit as well)
+orpheuswaking #18 Posted November 18, 2010 Fern cleared out all of his Atari stuff years ago.
OldAtarian #19 Posted November 18, 2010 (edited) Who is it? Don't know. I randomly snagged the pic from someone's facebook. I didn't pay much attention to the name. I found it doing a search for members who had 'Atari' listed as an interest. I do remember that he was in the UK, though. I searched about 100 names that day, so it would take me too long to find it again. Edited November 18, 2010 by OldAtarian
carmel_andrews #20 Posted November 18, 2010 (edited) By the looks of things, it looks like a former Atari dealer or some ex director of an old atari dealer (who obviously sold other kit/gear like amigas, falcon's, bbc's and even amstrad pcw's...as there's an anstrad pcw keyboard in that pic as well) If not dealer, someone that repaired or serviced atari and non atari kit/gear Or someone obtaining the proceeds from a ex dealer administration/liquidation sale (i recall that sillica shop went belly up 2 or 3 times) Edited November 18, 2010 by carmel_andrews
svenski #21 Posted November 18, 2010 It could just be a collector. I could match that photo with one of my Atari 8-bit stuff but I won't .
