Switchbox for 2 displays on TT030

Recommended Posts

Just purchased a TT030 along with the correct color PTC1426 display as well as the cool 19" TTM195 Mono Monitor. Purchased a generic 4 port VGA switchbox at Frys and the color display is fine with it but it seems the TTM195 only works when direct connected to rear of TT030. Is there a manual or auto switchbox that will let the TTM195 work also. It does not seem to like my generic one I purchased. I get no video on the TTM195 when switched to the proper port and all that fun stuff. Even tried switching the switch after TT booted to see if it would sync but that also did not work.

Thanks in advance if there is a switchbox that will work for the TT030 driving both the TTM195 when I want it but normally the PTC1426.

Thanks

Sorry I can't help you. But I just wanted to tell you that "you rock" for getting such a setup, and I'm extremely jealous. Ebay?

The TT uses an ECL signal for the TTM which is not VGA compatible.

However, you can switch the PTC to normal VGA or ECL use, so it might be possible to build a switchbox which uses the full ECL signal.

What I remember there is sort of "monochrome detect" pin similar as in ST for SM124 / color detection. So you can use it for the switch box.

With an appropriate graphics card and an enhanced driver it might even be possible to use two TTM monitors on one TT at the same time.
