Atari & other items - need to have a clearout (UK)

Recommended Posts

Just facing up the reality that we won't have enough space for the foreseeable future & currently short of cash therefore needing to get some items to a good home. I will update this list as and when I test things and add to the list

At the moment I have the following to go:

Atari

-----

Atari 800XL in box - box is tattered and damaged on the outside, polystyrene with some damage - tested power's on all keys working, has just loaded game and everything seems fine. XL has some age yellowing (noticeably worse on one side). PSU seems to have had some strange damage almost looking like melting but doesn't effect performance. Also some of the polystyrene from the case seems to have embedded in parts of the PSU cabling.

Atari 1050 drive - recent auction win with "back-up" disks, worked with the disks I tested. No modifications

Atari XC12 tape drive - Has successfully loaded 2 games. Recent auction win looks like it needs a cleaning.

Atari 7800 - PAL in box with PSU and 1 joypad - tested & works, boots into Asteroids if no cartridge plugged in. In Box (which is well worn). 7800 Manual good condition with a few marks, Asteroids manual "dog eared" and crumpled.

Atari 2600jr - PAL working just the console no PSU

Dissembled and semi cleaned JINX 7800 cart case + PCB - free to any interested developers (I'll even pay the post on this one!)

Various Retro Gamer, Game & Edge Magazines

Atari 8-bit Tapes

-----------------

Java Jim published by Sparklers - Loaded first time

Desmond's Dungeon by Sparklers - Loaded first time

Shamus by Americana - not working

River Rescue by Sparklers - not working

Scooter by American - not working

Ninja by Entertainment USA - not working

Castle Assault by Blue Ribbon - not working

Tapes not working either load part way or get a boot error almost immediately

Atari 7800 cartridges - with manual no box - All tested and working

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Commando

Desert Falcon

Pole Position II

Xevious

Atari 2600 cartridges

---------------------

Star Raiders with touchpad controller and poor condition box - missing the touchpad overlay

Combat in poor condition box

Other items

-----------

15" LCD TV/Monitor - Has VGA, S-Video, composite, Audio inputs amongst others. Antenna input is dodgy I believe the monitor requires some repair. Postage only or free to collect.

Sega Dreamcast RF TV cable Model No. HKT-8830 - untested nothing to test it with!

Apple Mac Performa 6400/200 tower - not used for ages so don't know if it still works. I added a network card it it and and audio/video input card a few years back. Connections on the back are starting to corrode. Postage only or free to collect.

Original PlayStation 2 with 8MB memory Card, 1 controller (from GAME not Sony original), Composite video cable with SCART adapter, Lego StarWars II The original Trilogy, StarWars Battlefront II, Taito Legends 2 & Midway Arcade Treasures

I also have various old memory simms and dimms and random pc parts such as ide and floppy cables, untested graphics cards etc - free to low cost - just pay the postage

I'm in Rugby, England and will post to anywhere in UK ( hard enough deal with couriers and postal service to UK addresses without dealing with any where else!). I'm also happy to have buyer collection

Please PM or add to this topic if your interested in the above or if you would like a random box of bits for cost of p&p only.

I'm going to to test the 7800 later with the games and list what works and doesn't. The 7800 has PSU & TV cable. There might be a Sony PS2 added to the mix dependent on negotiations with the kids:)

I'm in Rugby, England

Sorry, don't mean to get off topic but I didn't know there was a city called "Rugby" in England. That's like living in "Hockey" Canada or "Baseball" USA. :D

Ok, my apologies and a free BUMP :)

I haven't got a sporting bone in my body but apparently its the birthplace of Rugby football and the local council do try to milk that for all its worth!
