youki
In Europe ( Germany, Italy and France for sure ) Colecovision was sold with MOUSE TRAP cart, so to oblige us to buy DK separately. Max In France, it was sold with Donkey Kong for sure , not mouse trap.

This was December 1983. this just for information. But at that time were a lot of non official importers so everything was possible. max
wberdan!
glad to see people finally respecting the dk box rarity! that's a tough box, i would say in the lower/middle range of the top ten rare cv boxes.
65Gamerguy
There is a US boxed version of Donkey Kong. I purchased one several years ago and still have it. I can only assume that it was made for people that puchased a stand alone ADAM computer, which didn't come with Donkey Kong on cartridge, but instead the Buck Rogers supergame on digital data pack. Tempest
I like how it's 'Based' on the real arcade game. Is that like 'based on a true story'?
Crapahute
I like how it's 'Based' on the real arcade game. Is that like 'based on a true story'? Usually, I noticed that the CBS boxes had “Based on the real arcade game” for Atari 2600 & Intellivision versions, and “Just like the real arcade game” on the Colecovision version. I’ve put “Based on…” on this box as it appeared like that on the brochure.

Bartsfam
I know this is old, but just to clarify. This: is common, and not worth much?
Ikrananka
I know this is old, but just to clarify. This: is common, and not worth much? Correct. Relatively easy to pick up from most European eBay sites - however often they are overpriced so patience is needed to get one at the right level. Ikrananka
Ohhh! Because I saw this: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 280787070363 That is the French only version, note that the cart and instructions are solely in French. There is also a general European variant that has the cart and instructions in multiple (five) languages.
