CBS carts incompatible

Recommended Posts

Are they incompatible with the XL/XE?

Is Gorf CBS on the 8-bit? I heard it won't work on XL/XE machines IIRC. I think it needs a 400 or 800 to run it.

Correct - the gorf cart will not run. There is a fixed gorf.exe that works on XL/XE machines.

I have Gorf cartridge and only works on 400/800 not xl/xe. It has a CBS lable but I'm not sure if homebrew or actual official release by CBS.

I can add a picture here if you want.

I have a Mountain King and a K-razy Kritters that don't work in my XL's. I was hoping someone could tell me so I don't have to unpack one of my 800's to test them. I don't know if they don't work because they are broken or because they are incompatible with the XL.

Mountain King works on my Atari 800XL so your cartridge may need a cleaning.

K-razy Kritters is only for Atari 400/800 only...won't even load with a translator disk or cart on my atari xl

K-Star Patrol is 400/800 only.

Actually all CBS games work on my Atari 800xl :D

One of my systems has dual OS. Have switch in back that turns my atari 800xl into atari 800 so I never have to break out my boxed Atari 800.
