For auction on eBay is a rare Atari Lynx Epyx Handy Specification Binder & Manual. The front cover states this guide was proprietary and confidential so not everyone in the world had access to this information. What a cool find! This is basically a 3" thick Bible of everything you want to know about the Atari Lynx, or what started out as, the Epyx Handy. This guide appears to discuss everything about the Lynx, diagrams, schematics, programming, design, you name it. I acquired this as part of a bulk Atari buy and although it is rather cool, I am not a Lynx nut so feel this guide can do better in the hands of an Atari Lynx fanatic. So, it is now up for auction. The binder is in decent used condition but does show some age since it was made back in the 80s. Inside is 3" thick of material about the Lynx which is hundreds of pages. After I acquired it, I thumbed through it and thought to myself this is one cool book about everything Lynx. What I found fascinating about this book, is Epyx made design the Lynx it appears and then Atari acquired it. The manual covers this about how Epyx wanted it to be called the Handy but Atari won out and renamed the Lynx. Cool stuff! What is also interesting, is the Amiga platform was used for programming the Lynx. It discusses that you need an Amiga 2000 or minimum specs on certain Amigas and certain software to program the Lynx. I had no clue Amiga was even involved. Anyway, this is one cool guide, appears rare, and if you are an Atari video game nut and like the Lynx, or even into Amiga and want to explore this territory regarding Amiga and Lynx, this book would be a nice have to have. Flat rate postage in the USA lower 48 will be $6 via media mail. If you prefer faster shipping, we can arrange that also. All other locations email me in advance for a shipping quote. Email me if you have any questions.

Here are links to a few extra pictures of the cover letter that came in the binder and one of the many table of contents in the binder. There appears several guides put together in the binder made this whole manual so there are other sections of the guide also not shown in this table of contents I posted.

This will go nice with my recently acquired Howard. If I win this then all I need now is a howdy :lust:

Just a bump that the auction ends tomorrow 12/9/10 so if anyone is planning on bidding, the auction ends soon.
