What's the 211 bug?

It seems that if you gain enough time on each lap, you eventually run over the most it will display. Then you get 211 speed until slowdown or crash. It took me about 5 laps to build enough time, but I have gotten this twice.

Nice. I haven't gotten to that yet. 195 mph has been my max, and always only on that last stretch before the finish line.

I just finally got to lap 6, score 79,300 for Race E. I'll post pictures in a short while, after I download them from my wife's camera.

I keep hitting that blasted sign on the right, which is red, or brown, or green . . .I'm colorblind. It's near the middle of the track. I need to remember to hit the brake before that curve everytime.

Hey Milk Runners, knock us down to third place then... I'd like to have posted another improvement but after a kazillion races I failed abysmally today :sad:

If you're in a team and waiting for players to show you can post partial tables or scores for all races with whoever you have playing all the races for now.

D is good. Just need to improve G. Why don't you try the Atari Grand Prix instead of Datasoft? Maybe there's a difference. I certainly saw some difference in the pac-man implementations of the two companies. Zylon, I am not keeping track of your scores. Can you post the table for our team with Roadrunners results as well?

Speaking of Race B, I made a minor improvement in that too. However, I think it's time to face the fact that Marius is better than me. Even if I had gotten the pole position in the practice lap, I still wouldn't have beaten his score.

Oh, and I thought someone other than Marius had mastered those 8 lap NTSC races.

I can do well in the 4 lap ones but those 8 lap really require some "luck" and concentration.

We said no PAL unless you really struggle with the game - can't complete a couple of laps... (bluecat etc) otherwise I'd surely win (109,950 pb) Get back to NTSC where you belong :thumbsup:

When I came up with the formulae I based it on the completion scores for the two systems 8 lap races, but I wasn't aware how much harder it is to complete the race (or even lap 4) on the NTSC version :ponder: Kudos to Marius for completing this already :thumbsup:

I've found another bug. It seems you can get up to 227 speed if you trigger the 211 bug twice.
