Rik #1 Posted December 6, 2010 Hi everyone, just got One on One Basketball for my beloved Colecovision.Glad i got it and all, but the GRAPHICS!!!!!!!!.As soon as i turned on the switch, i was like WTF.The game looks like 2 Gingerbread Men Disco dancing.Anyone else disappointed by this game.I'm not saying the game is crap, but being a Colecovision game, i figured it would be more impressive than my 7800 version, graphics wise, boy was i wrong.Just goes to prove you can't always judge by the supposed higher graphics power from one console to another at how good a game will look like!!Still glad i bought it though, but the Gingerbread men players look more like lazy programming, i mean isn't the CV capable of better looking players than on this game? You're not the only one that's been disappointed by the graphics of One on One. MicroFun could have done a lot better job sprucing things up for the ColecoVision version but went cheap and just converted the game from whatever computer version. They probably didn't want to get creative trying to work around the 4 sprite limit and dealing with compaints of sprite flickering. It is, however, a 24K rom so it cost them a little more to manufacturer than if they tried to squeeze it into 16K... but they still had another 8K of space to play with if they had maxed out with a 32K rom! I was just playing this, and thought it was pretty cool that there is a 3 point line.
Tempest #4 Posted December 7, 2010 They almost look like placeholder graphics that were never finished up. Tempest

Murph74 #8 Posted December 7, 2010 Ok, cheesy graphics-- But have you broken the backboard yet?
King Tut #9 Posted December 20, 2010 Wow, the ColecoVision version of One-on-One Basketball looks terrible compared to the Atari 7800 version. The 7800 version of this game has much better graphics.
