All you have to do is scroll down to the bottom of the current set of topics and there are 2 or 3 topics on the bottom that talk about modding it. There are also plug in battery packs that were meant for some coleco home arcade game but also work in the expansion module once in a while they pop up on ebay.

Yes, MADARACS and DJPUBBA have done mods on this controller or you can buy the Coleco Perma-Power Battery Eliminator... just saw one on eBay the other day. If you go this route, the Perma-Power batteries have to be orientated properly or the controller won't work at all or just the foot pedal won't work.
