mimo
I am considering getting a '99 in the near future. Is anyone using the HcX floppy emulator with a Ti99/4a? how do you connect? is a special cable required? Thanks
Opry99er
Acadiel has one.... They are currently "read-only" for the TI. Your best bet would be a CF7 or a nano-PEB. You need nothing but the unit and a CF reader for your PC. You have access to every piece of software (pretty much) that ever existed on the TI. This means that you do not really need the bulky expansion box.... Just a console ($20 on eBay), the nano-PEB ($50-$60 on eBay) and a CF reader ($10 Wal Mart) and you have access to thousands of pieces of software. mimo
thanks, I already have a HcX for my STe and amiga's, so just wondering if I could successfully use it on a '
Opry99er
Short answer: "Yes" with the read only caveat.
rocky007
works perfectly good with the last upgrade. unfortunally, it's read only for now
+acadiel
works perfectly good with the last upgrade. unfortunally, it's read only for now The HxC floppy emulator (USB version) is read only. The HxC floppy emulator (SD Card version) is read-write. I have both, and both work great. SDCard version Youtube Video
