losbjer
Hello all Does anyone of you have picture problems when having a Jaguar connected to a newer flat screen TV? It's almost like the TV automaticly switches between two modes or something and I can't find anything to do about it. It works but it is annoying! It's almost like the TV automaticly switches between two modes or something and I can't find anything to do about it. It works but it is annoying! I've found the Jaguar to be OK in Composite, but some LCD TVs have problems displaying the RGB picture (when using a SCART connector, usually RGB is used). As I've had similar problems with ST computers, this may be due to oversaturated colours in RGB mode - but that's a wild guess! I've found at least one instruction sheet for a DIY ST SCART cable that explicitly demands for three 150 Ohm resistors on the R, G, and B pin respectively and I doubt all my cables have them (as my other TVs are more tolerant, I don't bother too much). losbjer
So, as I only have a RGB scart, would having it converted to a composite solve the problem? like having a scart -> composite adaptor of some sort?

Composite is already connected in the RGB SCART lead, as it serves as the SYNC line. So disconnecting the majority of pins will do the job, AFAIK. Thanks I had the exact same problem when connected to the scart input labeled RGB. On the other scart input it works fine but has a slightly less sharp picture than the image it also does switch to on the other connection. SInce you only have one scart, you might try using composite cables. It gave me a good picture but it unfortunatley miles away from the scart picture on my old CRT.:-( I alsways wanted to try out one of those scart to HDMI boxes to see if this could solve the problem but didn't have the money for "experiments" latley...
