(1) NIB 800xl stock

(1) 800xl with Ctirad's external 320xl Ram (yet to do the stability mod)

(1) 800xl with internal 256k Wizztronics Ram

(1) 130xe stock (my son's)

Also have a handful of original game carts, Atarimax SIO2PC & two AtariMax USB flash carts, Artist tablet, two trackballs..

The 800xl was my first computer so i'm happy to stick with this humble collection, but I'd love to see more original software done for both stock A8 and 320/vbxe to make those upgrades worthwhile..

I've got an 800, 800XL, 130XE, and I may be getting a 1200XL in a while.

As to paying for a new game for any type of old computer. I probably wouldn't pay more than $5 for anything disk based unless it came in a nice box with a manual.

Cartridge media for a computer seems like an odd distribution choice when it's possible to get new blank floppy disks, but if it were interesting enough I might go for it.

To be honest though, I really haven't been *that* into homebrew releases lately and I'm only really just getting near to having an A8 set up and working and I've never really used one much before as I tend to gravitate toward my Apple IIgs...

I'd like to get Yoomp! on an XE style cart. With a nice box and manual, too. And some ridiculous story line :)

I love it.  I would like that as well.  Some ridiculous story line indeed.  I always hated, still do, trying to read those utterly stupid (my opinion), nerdy-assed story lines.  The authors use dumb-assed words that make no sense and are hard as hell to pronounce.  I usually just utter, Bla, Bla, Bla to myself till I get to Playing the Game section of the manual.  God, these guys are freakin' Klingon lovin' nerd-balls.

Why was this thread necro’d after 9-1/2 years of peaceful slumber in the dusty digital archives of Al’s server farm?

Well, now, I missed this one 9-1/2 years ago as that was during a time my Atari shite was in storage...so, here is my list...nah! J/K.

All I will say is I wouldn't be here if I didn't have the real McCoy. The day I don't have a real Atari is the day I no longer come here or bother with any of it. Emulation, no matter how good, SUCKS and BLOWS at the same time!?

I only have a 800XL - and I run it rarely these days - if only just so it still runs OK?

I do want a Atari 800 and a Atari 400 - but can only pay rock bottom prices for them.  I would only run them a few times per year.

Do not knock emulation - it has it's uses - like for developing new games for the old hardware.

Hello guys

I don't use my Ataris a lot either, mostly at meetings like NOMAM, HATZ and Fujiama.  Which didn't happen this year.  But I do own:

2x 130XE

1x 65XE (with ECI and upgraded to 128kb)

1x 800XE (upgraded to 128kB)

1x 600XL (upgraded to 64kB)

2x 800XL

1x 1200XL

2x XEGS (one upgraded to 1MB, with full software control over BASIC, OSROM/RAM, Selftest and Missile Command and separate ANTIC and CPU access)

Sincerely

Mathy
