Ridenmy65 #26 Posted February 17, 2003 I am ashamed to say that I have had space shuttle sitting in my collection for about 5 months now and I have not played it once. I feel like I have betrayed my fellow Atari astronauts!! Angelo
StanJr #27 Posted February 17, 2003 My pitch is set at 28, just like the manual says, but what is this stuff about this yaw? How do I set that and when? I really want to play this game...
Nukey Shay #28 Posted February 17, 2003 Yaw is set by moving the stick left or right with the OCR engines on (up/down sets pitch). You should only really need to change Yaw when performing the deorbit burn...it should already be 0 after you are in orbit. You can also use Yaw to correct massive Y-axis differences, but that takes a bit of practice. One question about your pitch...is the sign correct (positive / negative)? Pitch -028 / Yaw 000 when docking, Pitch -004 / Yaw -128 when doing deorbit burn, Pitch +024 / Yaw 000 for re-entry.
StanJr #29 Posted February 18, 2003 Ladies and gentlemen, we have found the problem. Coupling what Nukey says with Cupcakus video, I now see my error. I've been following the instructions which tell me to set my pitch to "28" not "-28" I shall try again. thanks everyone! Shuttle Stan

Shuttle Stan Yeah I could have sworn I demonstrated proper pitch settings for docking in that vid :-) Good luck stan!
