How do you tell the difference?  I have ~8 PlayCable manuals and the overlays in the photo covers up the portion of the manuals that differentiate PlayCable manuals from normal manuals.

I was wondering that myself. I haven’t noticed any differences other that the part #

There are a few typical giveaways, but it's the combination that seals it.

1. Red Royal Dealer manual.  There's a non-PC red one, but it's Hong Kong.  The PC one is USA.  Either way, if you see one investigate further.

2. Sports/Gaming titles lack the MLB, NFL, NHL, etc branding.

3.  They're all USA.  I don't believe there are any Hong Kong PC manuals.

4.  At a glance, it's the combination.  I have a set and I'm used to seeing them as a whole.  I know which games have PC versions and which versions are in the set.  Royal Dealer, AD&D, Frog Bog, Math Fun....they're all less common color variations, so seeing them all in one lot usually means PC.

My recommendation is to study the pics from the recent lot.  Print it out and hang it on your fridge.  Burn it into your memory ?

I’ve got a set but haven’t examined them that closely I guess.  Someday when there’s time...

This is very interesting.  Could I ask a favour of those that own PlayCable manuals?  Could you message me a list of the manuals and part numbers you own please (images work if you can't be bothered typing)?  I'd like to try to build a list of the games broadcast and add it to the PlayCable Research and Development thread.  Unfortunately the Voltron's attempt to do this back in 2013 seemed to peter out.

Ahh, ignore me, the list is already on INTV Funhouse (as an aside, I think it is unlikely that either Bump 'N Jump or Master of the Universe were actually broadcast, as both games would need to have been cut up or cut down in order to fit into the PlayCable's 8K memory).

I would still be interested if anyone other than CMart owns the PlayCable schedules, so we could reconstruct the dates on which games were broadcast.

Assuming that all the titles in the auction highlighted were on PlayCable this would double the number of known 8K games broadcast to two (Motocross and Buzz Bombers).

Thanks for any help.

At 12k, vectron and pinball would be closer in size.  Is there any evidence that a game was modified for playcable?  Maybe the updated locknchase was on playcable.

I guess the sports licenses, like tron, weren't allowed to be broadcasted; even though the instructions weren't broadcasted.  The electric company wasn't a problem.

Here's the Deal of the Century!  A completely beat-up Inty III, looks like it was puked all over... AND it comes with 3, yes 3, hard to find but well sort after blank 8-track tapes for that nearly impossible to find 8-track recorded you have stuck in the deep shadows of your nostalgia closet.  Now I know these two things have absolutely NOTHING to do with each other...but hey... They were found at an estate sale and they're awesome!

All for the low starting price of $90!! Whoo!  Come one...come all!!

If anyone needs them for spares and whatnot.... Good price for the lot.  I think they originally sold for $15?

Buy it rather on the BSR store and they don't have to deal with the Ebay fees. https://www.blueskyrangers.com

Well, didn't a lot of people call cartridges "tapes" back then? ;)
