Intellivision Ebay Roundup

Recommended Posts

Anyone know what's going on with these disc replacements (or whatever) on this Intellivision?  https://www.ebay.com/itm/314059011061?mkevt=1&mkpid=0&emsid=e11021.m43.l3160&mkcid=7&ch=osgood&euid=0cdeabe2e0184781b4d64abc9b41afe4&bu=43208301158&ut=RU&osub=-1~1&crd=20220703032657&segname=11021

They seem to be on springs or something?  Kind of above the plane of the controller where I would expect them to be if they were disc replacements?

I'm pretty sure they are just wrongly installed.

Ok, I stumbled upon a marketplace listing in my own town.  Unfortunately, I was out of town for the weekend and had to trust that they wouldn’t sell it before I got home.  Just got back and made the pickup.   Should be interesting to test it out when I get a chance.  Here are some pics.

Learning Fun, Triple Challenge, and Thin Ice more than covers what I paid for it.  But what I’m more interested in is the unit….

Not positive about Tutorvision status, but I think it’s promising.  You can see circuit boards through the bottom vent and toward the bottom there is a large capacitor with writing on it but I cant quite tell what.  Unfortunately no SN label  unless it’s somewhere in the case.  I will pass on findings when I get a chance to try it out.

It looks to be a TutorPro from what i see.

The large Capacitor is visible... so it doesnt have shielding. My guess is an INTV88 board.

Sweet Grab Bill!

Congrats.

Make sure you let us know your findings.

My poor Cuttle Cart 3 still has no box, and I've never actually physically seen a Wico Command Control for Intellivision.  Seen the Colecovision version before, but not Intellivision.  Alas, ~$900 is way more than I can spend.

I had a couple Wico's years ago. They work great but are a bit larger than a regular controller. Takes some getting used to.

You should buy it for the CC3 box Rick. Then sell the cuttle cart and Wico controller. I think you could get $100-$150 for the cart & about $300-$400 for the Wico.

It did say "or best offer"

Hmm... I believe this is a foolish path for me to take.  I would probably sell the cuttle cart, but I'd be way to tempted to keep the Wico.

Few months ago it has been sold a Cuttle Cart on Ebay at 375 bucks…

The box is  available on Etsy at 15 bucks, plus shipping from Germany…

And isn't Marc O. the 1 who created the box originally anyway? He has alot of other great boxes in his etsy store now too.

I wrote the "Missing Manual" for the Wico Command Control, for those that are curious https://atariage.com/forums/topic/221762-the-missing-manual-for-the-wico-command-control/

That said, I feel the Wico is the worst controller for the Intellivision (have a couple).  The side buttons are massively stiff, the numerical keypad buttons sometimes jam briefly, and the joystick springs are stiff.  I felt like I was playing with a brick.
