Intellivision Ebay Roundup

Recommended Posts

I'm pretty sure it is authentic. It is the way I got it years ago. I keep it in a plastic sleeve. In my "humble" opinion it is the real deal.

...and unfortunately the 'happiest' shark on eBay has his teeth into it. Such a shame. Whenever I start listing I'll be blocking him and a few others from bidding. Would rather take a loss than further the greed of certain ebayers.

I bought Intellivision games through Radio Shack and Telegames back in the late '90s. I still have some receipts and photo copies of the pages from the Radio Shack binder. I'll have to scan and post them.

Cool! I had no idea that Intellivision games were sold by a company after 1991 or even sold in stores. I thought when INTV Corp went under that that was the end (and that mail order was the only option other than at the headquarter's store). I had no idea that Telegames got involved afterwards.

I heard Radio Shack had Intellivision cartridges for a long time. I assumed it was old Mattel Electronics stock. I've never heard of Intellivision cartridges rereleased by Telegames like they did with other platforms.

Edit:

Sorry, according to posts here Tele-games and others did sell their Intellivision cartridges through the Radio Shack catalog. http://atariage.com/forums/topic/208054-dig-dug-shrinkwrap-radio-shack-turbo-zone-direct/

I got this ad from Telegames back in late 1990's or early 2000's if memory serves. I ordered several games from them.

There are other system on the flyer and all the hand written updates are from the company.

At least they repackaged Intellivision stuff. When I found out about Telegames I ordered some stuff from them. I got Space Spartans in a similar box like this Wing War for Colecovision (but with original instructions and cartridge).

A few years later I resold it.

Must have been an original Mattel cartridge. Telegames likely aquired loose parts from INTV Corp and wouldn't have manufactured new cartridges.

Wow. The pricing is all over the map, with no rhyme or reason:

Spiker: $39.99

Poker & Blackjack: $39.99

Learning Fun I: $29.99

Beauty & the Beast: $9.99

DK Jr: $4.99

Venture: $4.99

I can only assume they had mass quantities of the cheaper titles. But the Poker & Blackjack is really surprising.

Those prices are in British Pounds and makes them very expensive for late 1990s. Edited by mr_me

Looks nice, but haven't seen that form factor before. Wonder if it's the same circuit, using mostly surface mount and a cute lil' PCB.
