I wanted these and never pulled the trigger because I couldn't really understand the language.

At first glance I thought these were just empty boxes to put our game systems in, since you know how much we all love boxes....

No. They are made of wood with vinyl graphic over it. I was intrigued so i bought 2 and had them shipped from Brazil.

There are a few zero feedback bids in the mix.  Raises my suspicions a bit.

Yep..

I think the winning bidder really wanted that auction. Other than the Solar Sailer & blockade runner, there are another couple variant manuals.. like the no logo Hockey. The winner probably put a high bid in (never thinking it would ever get that high) just to make sure he got it. Then at the end it seems Seller had his buddies drive the price up. (Atleast thats what it looks like.. but who knows?). I agree actual value prob 125 - 150ish. ... It just got carried away.

Wow. That escalated quickly. Feels more like $100-125

Yeah, I went to about $130, figuring I could piece out a lot of the other stuff, but when it was sitting at $150 for a couple of days. I decided that was too much. especially when someone else showed up with a BW Blockade Runner manual.

I am a little confused by the two labels on the bottom. The one with the serial number says it is manufactured in the USA, while the other one says Hong Kong. Is that normal for units in that serial number range?

Yea, i saw this one the other day. It is very curious as things dont match up. USA & Hong Kong decals, low serial number but a G4 system manual. Might be Frankenstein'd. I'd like to see serial# on box to see if it matches. The box looks to be 2nd issue/1980 with poker on tv screen.. which is probably right in line with the 4000s serial # listed. The guts would tell if its early or not.
