Kjmann
I Really Like This Emulator. it's been a great tool for testing and Doesn't do a Bad job playing games either. I of course will always be partial to the Real Hardware. =) After playing with the Color Adjust settings for quite a while I Think I have come up with some settings that are really close to a Real NTSC Machine (I'm not Sure about PAL because I've never owned a PAL Machine). I'm Very Picky about my color settings so I spent the time and thought everyone else would benefit from knowing what I came up with. =) Here are my settings for the "Adjust Colors" selection under the "System > Video" pull down menu. Hue Start: -50 Hue Step: 27.5 Brightness: -4% Contrast: 100% Saturation: 30% Artifacting Phase: 189 Artifacting Saturation: 200% Artifacting Brightness: +10% Hope this helps. =)

Kjmann
Yeah, like that..Nice one... Thanks. I use 4 Different Games To Set the Colors By. I use these when I'm Retrofitting an XL with the S-Video Kit that I sell. Since I include new Power supplies with all the systems I always have to re-adjust Hue Step Pot in the XL. So I decided to use the same 4 games to adjust Altirra. 1 - John Harris version of Frogger (Look at the Very Top Logs. they should be Dark Brown With a Very Slight Green Tint on Them and the Time Line At the Bottom should be Red.) 2 - Pole Position (Look At the Sky It should be an almost Periwinkle Blue. a little Darker and toward the green side from sky blue.) 3 - Pac-Man (On The Menu, The "Press Select for 2 player game" and Etc should be a good solid Light Green and the word "Select" A Solid "Pac-Man" Yellow) 4 - DropZone (The Ground Should be a Good Solid Brown just before the point of Turning Red)
Mclaneinc
As said before, thanks for the sharing, its nice to see a formula to the colours as opposed to my hit and miss approach
Kjmann
I Recently Made some minor Changes to my earlier settings for a better Artifacting look Hue Start: -50 Hue Step: 27.5 Brightness: +0% Contrast: 100% Saturation: 35% Artifacting Phase: 189 Artifacting Saturation: 90% Artifacting Brightness: +0% Hope this helps people get a good "Real Atari" Look. =)
Mclaneinc
Seen and adjusted, only one thought, you are using an NTSC machine, I wonder if someone would do the same with a PAL machine using the same sort of test guidelines, just for the sake of choice. Either way i still like the look of yours.

Here are a couple more adjustments: Hue Start: -50 Hue Step: 27.5 Brightness: +0% Contrast: 105% Saturation: 40% Artifacting Phase: 189 Artifacting Saturation: 90% Artifacting Brightness: +0%
Mclaneinc
Cheers Sal, changes entered. A PAL set would be nice but as and when or indeed if it can be done.
