King_Salamon #1 Posted December 28, 2010 I am in the process of obtaining a Virtual Boy and at first I knew the system worked and the only problem was with the metal base which I can replace easily enough. Upon further discussion, I found out that the power adaptor is missing. Anyone have one of these adaptors? I want to know what it's going to set me back before I take the plunge on the system. Any help with info... or if you have a spare part, please let me know. Thanks everyone!
ClassicGMR #2 Posted December 28, 2010 (edited) If the power pack adapter is included(attaches to the controller) then all you need is a SNES power supply. If it is not included you'll need both. I see the Goat Store has the adapter alone for $18 and both the adapter and power supply for $22. Edited December 28, 2010 by ClassicGMR
King_Salamon #3 Posted December 28, 2010 Yeah I think it's the adaptor thingy that's needed... I haven't picked it up yet but managed to get the price knocked down from $100 to $25 because it's not all there. So I think I'll have to order the adaptor from Dan at the Goat store, thanks for the direction... and that picture is perfect. It's been year since I've had a V-Boy and totally forgot how weird the connection was.
King_Salamon #4 Posted December 29, 2010 Picked up the unit today and everything was there except the adaptor. It's all in very nice cosmetic condition too so I've placed the order at the Goat Store to get the adaptor piece, thanks for the info again! Funny thing is, when I picked up the item, there was a NES controller (a NES Max Pad) with the goodies so that was a nice bonus. lol Now I wait for the part to arrive and then I can play some Virtual Boy! Woo hoo!
