I have a mint 100% complete Rage of the Dragons for the Neo-Geo system. Does anybody now how much its worth?

If it's the US version, about $400.

The neo-geo.com price guide lists the US version at $325-$385. JPN version at $290-$320. Their prices might be out of date though...

seems like everytime I think it's a bit dated, i end up seeing more and more stuff closer to their guide. i guess it depends on the day.

It looks like one just sold in similar condition on Neo-Geo.com forums for about $500. So, there has been roughly 20% growth in value over the past couple of years. There is no way a JP version sells for $800 and I would suspect that same item has been available for months or years. Why not just post on the Neo-Geo.com marketplace forum and see what kind of offers you get?

Like bojay said, an unsold ebay BIN listing is probably overpriced. Since it's a hard to find game some sellers will repeatedly list at a ridiculous price... just waiting for a desperate sucker who wants it immediately when it happens to be the only one available on ebay at that moment.

 

 

Unless you're already an established member on neo-geo.com, you'll probably end up with nothing but hassle if you just join there and immediately try to sell. I think there's supposed to be a 6 month(?) waiting period after joining before you can sell on their marketplace, and jumping in cold with a $500 item will probably lead to several regulars screaming 'fake!' and worse. Neo-geo.com is a good reference for recent selling prices though, and you could probably try listing on ebay with a $500 starting price if you wanted to see how much you could get. (-ebay fees)
