Cebus Capucinis #1 Posted January 2, 2011 Alright, I'm digging through all my storage for projects and I came across this red label desk lamp I made quite a while back! It's quite a different one from what I've made in the past and is quite a neat little one-of-a-kind piece. Made from a 2600Jr and a bunch of red label cart scans for the shade. Would go great on a desk with the different size shade and all that! Here it is: Very unique! I made it to use on my desk but I guess I never found the desk space for it, so what we're going to do is an OLD-SCHOOL AA STYLE INTERNET AUCTION. The bidding starts at 2:07 PM (AKA right now) Sunday, January 2, 2011 and ends at 2:07 PM Sunday, January 9, 2011. Exactly one week to bid. To bid either post in here with your bid amount or PM me with private bids. If you want a "private" bid I will post an update with the bid amount and just the name "Private Bidder". Winning bid does NOT include shipping unless bidding gets past a certain amount (predetermined by me and not stated, but don't worry, it's not high) so that I don't basically give a lamp away for free. Once shipping gets past that point I will add the -SHIPPED- to the total bid and then shipping will be covered. The lamp will be shipped via UPS with tracking and will be packaged with Pack & Ship Promise to ensure it arrives in perfect shape. I will ship internationally for you international bidders, but shipping will likely be extra for that and be prepared for it to be a lot. So there you have it. Start your engines and bid away! Bidding starts at $10.00. In case you are wondering, winning funds will be used to help pay for my visit to Austin, TX at the end of January to go to Pinballz and hang out with our very own extra-special website administrator. Current bid: $136.00 -SHIPPED-

the.golden.ax #18 Posted January 3, 2011 Two trains left a station traveling in opposite directions at the same rate. One train traveled a total of 372 miles in 1 1/2 hrs more than the time it took the other train to travel 279 miles. My bid is the speed of the trains. Cebus Capucinis #22 Posted January 3, 2011 After pointing out that I neglected to read the last half of the first sentence, I have discovered that the bid is not, in fact [279=372x/x^2+1.5x] but is actually $107. LOL!
the-topdog #23 Posted January 3, 2011 A $100 bucks......WTF already!!!! Sheesh! Monkey lamps be worth it
Cebus Capucinis #24 Posted January 3, 2011 Humorously enough, even neglecting the first part of the sentence I was still assuming the speed was the same. After completing the equation, I came up with an answer of 107! Sometimes we just have to take the scenic route to answer questions!
