Messiah Generation NEX system

Recommended Posts

Hi

I really need some help with this. I bought my daughter a New Generation NEX this Christmas for her Birthday. Yes it was in 2010,and it

2011. She wanted one really bad,and she only 12 and her mom was kill in a car wreck 4 years ago.

Anyways I was not aware the NEX system had problems playing some of the NES games. Now I know from reading there was an official

compatibility list provided by the Company, but I cannot get a copy of the 21 NES games that do not work on this system.

Please can some one help me with this. I need a copy of the games that do not work on the NEX system.

Thanks

SKW

I have this list from a person who emailed me. That person said I needed to try and get the Official list, but

it does not post on the Company website any more. It looks like a selling web page of morgage companies.

www.playmessiah.com

It no good anymore.

Sean

You're SOL then man. Messiah hasn't been around for a while now as far as I know (The Generation NEX systems are pretty old). Worst comes, you can try looking into getting a regular NES, or getting another clone system that has a more accurate compatibility lists available (Retro DUO, FC Twin, etc).

Well I may just buy a regular NES then.

I guess these things were really bad in their day.

Thanks SKW

Messiah has been out of business for awhile now. If you are looking for a clone you should have picked up a FC Twin, Retro Duo, or RetroN3. At least with these you get multiple systems and you also get much better compatibility than the NEX's terrible NOAC.

The Generation NEX is probably the best clone looks-wise and build quality-wise, but its NOAC was terrible and the system itself retailed for $60 and only came with 1 controller.

I actually really like the NEX, but it does have compatibility issues with some (still not a huge number) of games. I don't have an exact list, but I wouldn't give up on the thing -- most games will work fine. I use mine as my primary NES... love having the Famicom slot.

i got my brother a NEX for christmas a few years back - it worked great aside from those very few games that don't work - (i know for a fact laser mission is one.) i'm considering getting one for myself, that famicon slot is a wonderful thing.

Yeah I wish other clone companies would put Famicom slot on the systems. I have mentioned it, but they don't seem to think its a good enough selling point for extra cost.

They are crummy consoles, and they were bad people to deal with. I got into a fight with the main dude when he was spamming my in box years ago. Sell it to a collector and get yourself another (top loader NES is the best)

They used to (kind of). The original FC Game Console was made for Famicom only. Yobo later released an adapter to allow you to play NES games on it. This is why you see a lot of those Yobo 72-pin to 60-pin adapters out there. Its just old stock. They eventually made a USA version that played NES without the adapter. So they do not have 2 slots like the NEX did.

sucks - that would be a major selling point for me -nes and famicom slot. buying a nex now would be around $100 (!)
