+atari2600land
Lives and score implemented. The one-digit number is the # of lives remaining. The four-digit number is the score. Because of this, I cannot implement the original scoring (if one was to shoot the Qotile in mid-air twice, the score would be 12,000 and therefore unable to be shown.) I wonder if there is a way to have one one-digit score and one six-digit score. Thanks for the compliments. yar7.bas.bin yar7.bas
diogoandrei
On that book Racing The Beam there's a chapter about Yars' Revenge and the neutral zone is covered there. It's not really about code there (in the book I mean), but the author goes more about how the idea was something new on those days.
+atari2600land
OK, now all I need help with is how the qotile detects where you are, so where to strike. I'm using var27 and var28, but I don't know how to calculate their values correctly (correct being knowing where to strike.) These variables should be used between lines 182-191. yar8.bas.bin yar8.bas
+atari2600land
Latest version. I think I got the qotile to get you decently. If not, let me know. I also added a sound when you hit the orangish shield. yar9.bas.bin yar9.bas

I've noticed that too, and it's a bug that I don't know how to squash.

+atari2600land
Worked on this a little more. I made the ufo faster and added a death sound, among other things. yar11.bas.bin yar11.bas
