  • Good, thick PCB that fits tight in the console
  • No corrosion - - GREAT looking un-worn contacts!
  • Boots right up and plays just fine!
  • Label is tight, and has no peeling
  • Slight label wear noticed on "One and Two Player Game" and the "All Rights Reserved" area (see detailed pictures below)
  • Instructions are in great condition, with one slight corner crease noted (again, see detailed pictures below)
  • Pack-ins include: IMAGIC Warranty Card, "Sneak Preview" card with new games teased, "electronic GAMES MAGAZINE" promo offer brochure, AND a nice gatefold brochure of multiple IMAGIC games, which also advertises the "NUMB THUMB CLUB" (fun!)

It's really a SWEET set, just missing the box (yeah, I wish it wasn't, and so does everyone else!)

  •
  • $55 for the cartridge, instructions and pack-ins $35

  • PLUS cost of USPS Priority Shipping from 80401 and insurance ($5.00, small box, but risks crushing, $10.50 large box, safe, but, well, large!) Shipping, $5.00, small box USPS Priority Mail

  • PAYPAL gift payment only
  • Cartridge will be bagged, dessicant pouch added, all put in an anti-static bag, and then surrounded by bubble wrap
  • Instructions and pack-ins will be sandwiched between stiff cardboard
  • Feedback should be left for me, and I will do the same for you (big group hug, wahoo!)
  • Thank you, but I won't split any part of the set

Lots more detail pictures:

Awesome copy so 55 dollars is what it sells for on ebay I suppose?

No, actually it sells on eBay for $5.50:

eBay SUBTERRANEA Auction: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 1206684051441?ff3=2&pub=5574883395&toolid=10001&campid=5336500554&customid=&item=120668405144&mpt=[CACHEBUSTER]

;)

No instructions, no pack-ins, unknown quality, and "economy shipping" (?) . . .

In all seriousness, pricing is based off an extensive sale history from here and other sites, stretching back to 1996, as well as adjusted for the additional pack-ins, condition of the cartridge, and current demand.

As well, I prefer to just start listings with a solid number. The ambiguous listings with "email me an offer!" always leave me wanting more . . .

The above link isn't the auction you are looking for (I am currently the high bidder).

People should divert their attention away from the above auction and try this one instead: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 3305177008701?ff3=2&pub=5574883395&toolid=10001&campid=5336500554&customid=&item=330517700870&mpt=[CACHEBUSTER] I've been following this one and it has already been re-listed once.

Subteranea just isnt a 60$ game......the Cart should be $2-3 tops no more than $1......then you got the inserts and the manual? Another $5 tops and you got a $10-14 game with shipping including delivery confirmation.....

Good luck with the sale.......nice item for sure

Hmm, those droids probably aren't the ones I am looking for either, eh?

Your Jedi mind-tricks are strong indeed . . .

Thanks for the sense of humor. :) Looks like you have a nice cart there. Too rich for me, but it looks like the eBay auction is going to turn into a battle much sooner than I had hoped.

I'm in your thread, bumping your sale.

Someone had an almost complete collection of Imagic games with this game that went for $60. It was re-listed about 4 times. About the only slightly rare Imagic game that didn't come with it was Fathom.

And then there is this eBay listing...

eBay Auction -- Item Number: 3305177008701?ff3=2&pub=5574883395&toolid=10001&campid=5336500554&customid=&item=330517700870&mpt=[CACHEBUSTER] lot with Subt. at $18.99

and then there is Atari2600.com with this one for $23.99

...and then a tracking price guide that is calculated and current based on several years of eBay data, that shows the value at... $26.44 with manual.

The highest recorded sale for this title with manual in three years was $39.95, seller the.golden.ax July 24th 2008, item 370070272203, to buyer in PA :ponder:

Sold to Stan for $40, which included $5 for shipping. I threw in $1.75 of insurance for "peace of mind."

Just for clarification, and to protect my reputation on this forum that I dearly love, here is my pricing logic for that original $55 number so that you all don't think I am trying to defraud anyone!

Digital Press lists it as $30 loose, no instructions:

http://207.234.147.108/DP/cmf/game.cmf?gameid=24316

As does good old atariguide.com:

http://www.atariguide.com/2/291b.htm

A $68 price at nintendosforsale.com that seemed a little high, but reflective of the top end of the market, was here:

http://www.nintendosforsale.com/subterranea-atari-2600-p-12106.html

As well, an old Buy It Now from 11/07/2010 was noted in the Google cache for videogamepriceguides.com of $54.00 (link to cached page provided, search webpage for "Subterranea" to jump down; cache will not last forever, prob not be findable by next week . . .)

http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:GrCBBSTC9pcJ:www.videogamepriceguides.com/atari-2600/+subterranea+atari&cd=136&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us&client=firefox-a

And, then, yes, the pricing list at atari2600.com says "$26.44" for cartridge and manual. Honestly, I consider that list outdated, although it does say "Updated October 2010." As far as I can ever tell, that list appears to be based based off an older pricing guide I once found in text form at atariguide.com that was last updated in 1998, with data from 1996.

The atari2600.com pricing appears to have been based on this one, and then lightly spot-updated since then?

http://www.atariguide.com/help/AtariAuctionPrices.txt

I wish that I could find pricing on atariage.com, but everyone is afraid to put real prices in their postings, and never seem to update what they sold for! The only thing I could find was a sale in January 2010 for the empty box of around $51.53:

http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/156839-fa-minty-atari-2600-subterranea-box/page__view__findpost__p__1925443

Which only helped me to gauge general "demand" for SUBTERRANEA.

So, demand level, plus I figured $30-$35 for just the cart based on all those links, a great set of instructions was worth at least $10, and then the extra pack-ins and brochures, plus my "quality assurance" and expert packing and shipping brought me to $55.

Anyways, just wanted to get that all out there and re-assure the community.

;)

Wish I had won that. :lust:

No one thought you were a bad guy. Some of us just like to feel smart :D

I'll tell you what I like to feel, I like to feel that I only need one more game to complete my set after this one! And, I'm rather looking forward to finally playing it. It seems like a lot of fun.

Why is this going for so much on eBay right now then? I show NIB for this around $190?

eBay Auction -- Item Number: 3606484149621?ff3=2&pub=5574883395&toolid=10001&campid=5336500554&customid=&item=360648414962&mpt=[CACHEBUSTER]

It's worth much more than that($190) the last one sealed went for $350
