Crazy Climber #5 Posted January 14, 2011 Looks interesting, is this a localization or a new game? Another localization. Is that a bad thing or something? Either way it looks freakin' sweet!! This is my most anticipated release from Super Fighter Team....can't wait!!!!
Arkhan #6 Posted January 14, 2011 Im pretty excited for it too, as it looks like an awesome sci fi RPG, which is rare anymore. Too many generic herotard fantasy RPGs are being made/coming out. We need more sci fi stuff. Just a shame SFT is the one publishing it. Their sega clamshell cases are crappy. Or they were, maybe they are better now. I just hope the game doesn't have some outstanding gamebreaking bug/oversight that is updated in later prints of the game. Last time that happened all the pre-patch owners were screwed. Pay up if you want a fixed copy. Pfft.
DeathAdderSF #8 Posted May 11, 2011 Hello, everyone. Thank you for your interest in and support of Star Odyssey. We appreciate it. There are lots more here, for free: http://www.romhacking.net/ This is true, and there's some fine work there. However unlike each release by Super Fighter Team, none of those projects are officially licensed from nor supported by the games' copyright holders. Star Odyssey was produced and will be released in partnership with Starfish-SD Inc., the company that acquired the assets of Hot-B Co., Ltd. following their closure. This partnership, in fact, is the first one with a company in Japan throughout the history of this niche market of classic gaming. I just hope the game doesn't have some outstanding gamebreaking bug/oversight that is updated in later prints of the game. Star Odyssey is indeed bug-free. In fact, we fixed several bugs and programming oversights from the original English prototype, as well as ones present in the original Japanese release version. A full list of programming changes can be found on the Star Odyssey development history page. Last time that happened all the pre-patch owners were screwed. Beggar Prince was our company's first commercial product, and at the time we simply did not have the budget necessary to get all of the game's bugs fixed up 100%. While this is something we regret, it inspired us to put forth a most brutal bug-screening and fixing process for each game that followed. This was made especially evident in our second commercial release, Legend of Wukong, for which we estimate around 30% of the game was reprogrammed during our development process. A complete list of programming changes can be found on the Legend of Wukong development history page. Also... A video of the world debut of Star Odyssey at last November's Retro-gaming Connexion event in Crégy-Lès-Meaux, France is now available for viewing on YouTube. Check it out -- World debut of Star Odyssey : new sci-fi RPG from Super Fighter Team for Sega Genesis / Mega Drive Have a nice day.
