Wanted: PSX CD drive

Recommended Posts

After a more thorough inspection of my dead PSX, I discovered that some of the gears in the CD drive are toast and can't be fixed. So does anyone out there have the entire CD drive from an SCPH-5xxx series PSX? I'd really like this ASAP so that I can start playing some of my PS1 games again on the original hardware.

Hey, I just wanted to thank you for that awesome free thread you started. Uh I just bought a couple systems from ax and he sold them to me cheap for just being a system with nothing. Shoot over to him heck for the 5 bucks he charges might as well get a whole new system for less time and hassle it would take to fix your old one.

Agreed, If he is out, I can send you one at the same price point. Hit him up first, I know he was trying to sell some a day or two ago.

If you don't want the deck I can take it out and just sell the drive for $8 shipped. ($5 is the postage).

Shipping on the whole system runs high because they are 3 pounds unpacked and usually have to go in a flat rate.
