Baby Mac #1 Posted December 11, 2002 Got a NES toploader today (In exchange for an AMIGA 1000), and it works like a dream. No more blinking screen, games dont reset on me, and that dogbone controller feels very nice in the hand. Pretty handy to have Tetris and SMB on one cart too!!!! Hell, im thinking about getting rid of my 2600 stuff so I can concentrate on NES!!!
Sir Plus #2 Posted December 11, 2002 Hey! That's crazy talk! How much are we talking about here?
oesii #3 Posted December 11, 2002 I originally had a NES 15 years ago but I didn't get back in until this year and didn't know about the toploader until recently. It's great and the dogbone controller is 10 times better than the stock one. Makes it more likely for me to fire up Blades of Steel, Tecmo Bowl, and Punch Out now. MacGurl #13 Posted December 12, 2002 There's a GameStop a couple of blocks from my house. The NES section consists of nothing more than tons of Mario Bros/Duck Hunt games though.
MegaManFan #14 Posted December 12, 2002 There's a GameStop a couple of blocks from my house. The NES section consists of nothing more than tons of Mario Bros/Duck Hunt games though. Ahh, sorry to hear it stinks so bad. If you like I could pick you up a selection of .99 and 1.99 games the next time I'm in Des Moines and hold them for you, if you didn't care what titles they were (no Duck Hunt or Mario Bros I promise). They always have tons of shit, I never have a problem getting three or more new games I didn't have each time I go.
