mrae #1 Posted December 11, 2002 I just dusted off a 2600, and tried to hook it up to my TV. I can't use the modulator that came with the unit, as my TV only has Co-axial or RCA jack inputs. It does not have the old screw type VHF connectors. Any suggestions on how I should hook up my 2600 ? Thanks in advance Mike
Sir Plus #2 Posted December 11, 2002 All the RF "modulator" (which in the Atari's case is just a switchbox) really does is just convert the RCA plug at the end of the lead to be able to hook up to the antenna input. If you go to the How-To section, you will see that you have 3 choices. 1) get a RCA to F connecter from an electronics store like Radio Shack 2) get an Antenna Lead to F adapter (those little black plastic jobs) 3) get a different switchbox that already has the F cable installed All 3 should be available at your local Radio Shack

Brad2600 #4 Posted December 11, 2002 Would it be relatively easy to bypass the RF unit and hook up an A/V interface to a 2600? I have a 2600 that could be a donor unit for a project of this type but I have no idea if it's worth it. RF connections stink though.
