S1500 #1 Posted January 28, 2011 After talking off & on with this guy for a week, I finally buy a ColecoVision off this guy. $20 gets me that. Haven't tested it yet. But hey, $20. The seller off of Craigslist however, wasn't the best communicator: 1. I ask him where lives, he gives me the street corner he lives on. 2. I ask him for the address, he says the same thing. A house number would be nice. 3. He gives me the house #. It goes to a duplex. It was the OTHER house. Cute chick answers the door(not him), but then he answers. Why would you give your neighbor's address? 4. His house to closer to the other street, than the one he said. 5. His replies are scant. Not the world's greatest salesman. But now, the ColecoVision trifecta is complete. Sure, the box has seen better days, but.

King_Salamon #3 Posted January 28, 2011 $20 is good... any games in the box? Would be a score to get something rare!

King_Salamon #5 Posted January 28, 2011 oh well.. the boxes are rough but if it works and you enjoy it, it's worth a lot more than $20!
fiddlepaddle #6 Posted January 28, 2011 I guess this makes you a door-to-door customer. Did you ask the first side of the duplex what video games they had but didn't want anymore?
SlowCoder #7 Posted January 28, 2011 $20. That gets pretty hard to beat, especially if it's working. I've met CL people like that. Rightfully, you want to be careful who you let know where you live, so the up to no good riffraff don't come knocking for some free wares. I once tried to make contact with a guy selling a nice list of Atari games on CL. I did my best to get his address. He told me he'd send me pics of the stuff. After 3 days, expecting pics to arrive in my email, I contacted him again. He said he wanted to know my HOME address so he could MAIL them to me. Transmission terminated. Something not right. He'd correspond by email, but not send pics by the same method? Or maybe I'm just paranoid like him and don't want to give out my home address to some guy that's not willing to share in kind.
