Small town about 40 mins from the Outer Banks of NC. I tried to call him he didn't pick up. I'm gonna offer to sell him one of my extra 2600's for $400 so he can double his money! +jd_1138 #6 Posted January 29, 2011 (edited) http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/ele/2173824876.html That's just insane. I wonder if he's really that clueless, or is he trying to rip off a clueless person? Either way is bad. Oh, and he has a sticky worn out copy of Combat he'll throw in for an extra $50, but be warned, this is a prototype 2600 so there's no cartridge slot! toiletunes #10 Posted January 31, 2011 Wow! the original atari- and it comes with two cases! Maybe the cases are full of paperwork authenticating that "original" claim...
0078265317 #11 Posted January 31, 2011 This posting has expired. (The title on the listings page will be removed in just a few minutes.) for the second one. As for the money will it is vintage. One time I saw a Nintendo nes 8 bit on ebay for "one thousand" dollars. Top loading offical and factory sealed so I don't know maybe. But you can't buy factory sealed anymore like just walk into a toysrus. So after 20 or 30 years people have the right to ask for ridiculously high prices. toiletunes #12 Posted January 31, 2011 Vintage is not an excuse. The junkyard is full of 'vintage' cars. People have the right to ask for ridiculously high prices, yes. I have the right to laugh at the ridiculous. Maybe if it was factory sealed, maybe. Otherwise, I'll find one for under $
MagitekAngel #13 Posted January 31, 2011 I'll take it! I'll take 12!
SlowCoder #14 Posted January 31, 2011 Sorry, I must have misread ... I thought you were passing out loughs of bread. Seriously, though ... This posting has expired. Anyone has the right to ask however much they want for anything they own. But rediculous is rediculous. People selling for that much should be gently educated on the going rates for things like that. And you'd hope that someone able and willing to drop $1000 would have done a little Atari homework before jumping into the purchase.
