Rex Dart
Shoot... if I could only have 5 2600 games, and only the 2600 versions of those games? They'd have to be: 1) Beamrider 2) Dig Dug 3) Demon Attack 4) Circus Atari 5) Demons to Diamonds (for 2P action) Defender II would probably be on my list, if my cart worked... as it stands, I'm not able to play the damn thing, so I can't rate it. Emulated version is nice though.

+Nathan Strum
Thanx a lot. Does someone know how i can play homebrews on my atari 2600. I live in the Netherlands. Yes - many of the 2600 homebrews in the AA store are available in PAL versions (check each game's page for available formats), and Albert does ship overseas. (As an aside - it would be nice if there was a PAL filter for the store, so you could quickly find games that had that option.)

A.J. Franzman
Probably a pirate version of Combat, which came with most of the systems sold in the U.S. That made it one of the most common games there is.

ravenxau
1. Galaxian (Better than the arcade) 2. Missile Command 3. Defender (might be a flicker-fest, but still has the 'feel' of the arcade) 4. Dig Dug (retains the 'feel' of the arcade) 5. Berzerk/Pacman (try as I can, I can't choose between these two - PacMan on game6, hard is as challenging as any other pacman - try to get to the 10th screen, it's not that easy) This is my list - surprisingly all the games on it are fairly common and easy to obtain
mbd30
best atari 2600 games: 1. E.T. 2. Pacman 3. Custer's Revenge 4. swordquest airworld 5. combat (only if you're alone) "Karate" kicks all of those games' asses... but doesn't actually make contact due to lousy collision detection.
