J.Max #1 Posted December 12, 2002 I'm new to this board (although I have quite a large collection of video games) and I had a question for the members here. I recently won a Starpath Supercharger on eBay and it came with Dragonstomper. After the auction, I recieved about 3 e-mails from people asking me to sell them Dragonstomper. Is this particularly rare? I looked it up on the rarity guide and it was only a 5. I have no idea what to charge for this...
BeerGnome #2 Posted December 12, 2002 well.. althe tape style games are somewhat rare, most are the class four. Personaly I would hord it, then, Im after collecting games to play them , not sell them, i suggest you play it as well But, to start out with.. I would ask these people what they are willing to pay for it, Next do a search on Ebay and see if this game is being sold elesware, and if it is, see for how much, then, if you wanted to sell it, then find the mediom price, then you know its value. Now.. go to the person with the highests bid to you directly, then negotiate from there. some might call me underhanded.. but thats captalism, the price is what the market will bare. but over all, I would keep the game and play it. And defintly keep the supercharger, you can use that to Play .bins on your real atari
StanJr #3 Posted December 12, 2002 $15-$25 max. If you get more, you really have someone who wants the game, or a chump. Anything less and you are cheating yourself, I'd say. Starpath games are getting harder to find in my experience (not counting eVILbay). The only ones I see lots of are Communist Mutants and Suicide Mission. J.Max #4 Posted December 12, 2002 I'm after them to play them too. That's why I've got "Stella Gets a New Brain". This particular Supercharger is already modified; I believe someone on this board was selling it.
BeerGnome #5 Posted December 12, 2002 I'm after them to play them too. That's why I've got "Stella Gets a New Brain". This particular Supercharger is already modified; I believe someone on this board was selling it. keep the game then and tell them all to skrew themselves. I can almost say that you might be hard pressed to find a Rom to load into it, and nothing beats having the game it'self. if you are worried about messing up the tape, then run the tape player into your computer, record the game it .wav format and store it on your computer as a back up. to load it into the supercharger, just crank up the volume on your computer and media player. disconnect the speaker out on your sound card, or the speaker to speaker jumper on your PC speakers.. connect the super charger to this output, then load the wav file to the super charger thru the media player.
