The 2600 Games you show visitors

I used to show off Midnight Magic and Solaris for the graphical capability of what the 2600 could do.

 

Heh, yeah, I'm going to be showing M. Magic to people too, now that I just got it in the mail today, courtesy of I_Love_Circus_Atari I think I'll introduce it to friends like this:

 

"This is your brain on Video Pinball (emits snoring sounds). This is your brain on Midnight Magic

X-rated games are always a hoot to show off! I just wish I had X-Man, the best X-rated game for the 2600.

 

I also show off Halloween, because the pixelated spilled blood when a kid dies is just so funny -- especially when you compare it to the stink that made over it at the time, and now we've got Mortal Combat games going "Finish Him!" and no one bats an eye.

 

And of course, some homebrews are great... I especially love my 2600 Post-It Note and Alphanumeric Madness carts, specially programmed with a bunch of artist Jenny Holzer's "truisms." Good background stuff at parties.
