max1227
Ok great thanks, last question (sorry) which pins in the DiN connector need to be wired for this cable to work? And will a cable with pins 3 + 5 wired work?

max1227
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/7-PIN-DIN-PLUG-TO-TWO-PHONO-PLUG-CABLE-1-5M-/161318350315?pt=UK_Computing_Sound_Vision_Audio_Cables_Adapters&hash=item258f52adeb NIAD do you think a 7 pin DIN to phono connector will work? It claims to output mono audio and video. Sorry to bother you again. The link for ebay page is above if it worked.
+save2600
This has got to be the longest running sale thread for something that has already sold!
NIAD
I hear you save2600! @ max1227... all these questions should really have been posted in the ColecoVision & ADAM sub-forum here on AtariAge as I mentioned previously. I personally don't mind one bit as I love to try to help out as much as possible, but there is a certain etiquette to follow around here especially when it comes to MarketPlace posting. As far as your question about that 7-pin DIN monitor cable, it all comes down to how the manufacturer wired up the DIN connector. I was just about to post the ADAM DIN connector schematic, but thankfully rey_1128 posted it for me. As you can see on the schematic, the Auxillary Video port on the back of the Memory Console is a 7-pin DIN connector, but only 4 pins are actually used (pin 1, 2, 3 and 4) with pins 6 and 7 not being one of them... so a 5-pin DIN Monitor Cable is compatible as long as it is wired properly. I have no way of knowing how individual Monitor Cables available all over the web are wired, but I have had success with C=64 cables going back to the 80's and this is what I would suggest buying... just don't buy the Chroma/Luma style cable as it is not compatible.
