FS: Atari 800XL + lots more

I have an 800XL with a 1050 disk drive. It comes with power adapters for both, a 3ft and 6ft peripheral cables, a quickshot joystick and 150+ floppy disks with lots of games and apps. Some of the disks have a dozen or more atari games on each. There are original disks for Ultima 2 & 4, superman and DOS XL.

I got this system about 15 years ago and it has been boxed in my basement for most of this time. I did hook it up yesterday and everything worked. I played several games using my Nintendo RF cable.

The system is kinda dirty and dusty, but like i said it does work. Most of the disks are in sleeves and are in good shape except that some of the labels are falling off with age.

I was thinking about throwing this system away as i haven't used it in years, but thought others might want it. I figure it will cost about $35 to ship so i won't sell it for any less. Make me a reasonable offer and whoever has the best offer by friday wins. I accept paypal. I'll list some (but not possibly all) of the games.

Can you list any cartridges that are included?

There is only one cartridge. It says "atari logo*" on the face and something about left side on the top. It seems like it is some sort of programming app, but i don't know.

Looks like that's a Happy 1050 w/ the controller option PCB installed. Just FYI in case anyone in on the fence. :-)

I think you will find that the first post stated $35 shipping, in addition to offers...

Also, the guy who said he would pay 100 for this never did and i've been busy this summer so i haven't done anything with this. I'm hoping to use this for a trade, but if someone wants to give me money, feel free.

Also - looks like the power supply for the 800XL is the **GOOD ONE** (silver label) so that's a plus, for this offering!

Yeah. The extra switches and light on the 1050 suggest some modification, which can add some bucks to the value. Maybe you could identify which from a look inside (or post a pic).

The 1050's with Happy + Controller I have only came with 2 switches, no LED. It may be a different version of the Controller(if they made more than one) or a cloned mod.

 

If there is a Happy software disk in the collection I would recommend booting it to verify if the 1050 is recognized as a Happy modified drive.
