AtariSociety #1 Posted February 19, 2011 Purchased a fun book called Hello World that is mostly for kids but even is great for adults also wanting to learn about programming. To me seems a more powerful and current programming language compared to old Basic I played with as a kid. Would like to see if the Atari platform has a Python programming language? Is it fairly up to date or real old version? I have version 2.5 on my Mac and appears I can go up to 2.7.x or 3.x on my Mac but would be nice if I can take some of what I learn and program something in an old Atari ST/TT. tj

+GroovyBee #3 Posted February 21, 2011 It depends on your objectives. You might find it easier to program in Python on the PC first if you've never programmed before. For running on the machine itself I had a lot of fun with GFA basic back in the day (as well as assembler, Pascal and C) so that might be another option to pursue.
