[d2f]Iggy*SJB #1 Posted February 22, 2011 I am possibly looking to sell off my comic book collection. I have several large boxes full of them, many commons, some not-so-common. All are in bags with backboards, and yes, there are some factory(printer) sealed in their original bags. I am working on compiling a list, but it's quite time consuming. Given the sheer amount of them in my collection, I am doubtfull anyone would be interested in the lot. However, I would be willing to negotiate larger numbers of them for a better price. I have scanned some of them on my facebook page, and will include a link to that later in this post. Wizard Magazine used to be the "go to" place for comic book prices, but they've pretty much stopped their price guide. I'm using the current Overstreet Comic Book Price guide as a reference, but I will entertain offers on them. If there is interest, I will post(as time permits) the issues I have. Aside from the rare/obscure titles, I have the usual gang of hero's: Superman, Batman, Spiderman, X-Men, etc. I also try to be very fair in grading them, and have no problem with providing pictures. The link is to my Facebook album, and is only a small number of what I have available. Clicky Clicky
Havok69 #2 Posted February 22, 2011 Good luck - unless you've got golden age stuff, your's are worth about 50 cents a pound (without the backers and bags), with some exceptions depending on issue, etc. I looked into selling mine not too long ago and was so disappointed in the prices paying out that I decided to just hang onto them...
Stan #3 Posted February 23, 2011 Yeah, unfortunately, he's pretty much right. I mean, some okay stuff in there, but by okay I mean I might have interest in it but it isn't worth anything. How many Simpsons comics do you have?
Zwackery #4 Posted February 23, 2011 Just an FYI, Mile High Comics (some people love 'em, some hate 'em, I'm here as a neutral party) has a buying program. You might want to investigate that if private sales don't pan out and you still want to sell them.

Havok69 #6 Posted February 23, 2011 i have maybe 1500 comics from the 90's era. i guess mine are worthless too.....but i still read them. and that is worth something!! Then they're worth a lot, if you enjoy them. Now, as far as how much you'd get paid? That's something else entirely...
[d2f]Iggy*SJB #7 Posted February 24, 2011 Wow. Guess that shoots that straight down. Thanks for the information, guys. Especially this: Just an FYI, Mile High Comics (some people love 'em, some hate 'em, I'm here as a neutral party) has a buying program. You might want to investigate that if private sales don't pan out and you still want to sell them. I just checked there, and about the only ones I'll get anything decent(read: close to cover price) for, is Transformers(gen1). Oh well, I guess I'll put them away for another couple of decades. Thanks again!
