New High Score for Strawberry Shortcake !

Recommended Posts

Ok, I only put this cartridge in for a few minutes to see what it did. It begs the question, do you collect games for the sake of collecting only, for collecting and playing, or simply for the game play ? :?:

I have it because it came the system that I started collecting with (a gift from a friend who cleaned out his parents house). My friend's sister played it as a kid. I also have the excellent Math Gran Prix.

Voch

I mostly collect for the game play but if I see a weak game for cheap, I'll pick it up.

I don't know what price it would take to pick up a Stawberry Shortcake. I guess I could say, "Oh, my sister's used to love this." Which is true--she did want the game back then.

I'm glad my parents didn't buy it for her, as we only had one TV back then and it was hard enough to get "Atari Time."

Having never played the game, it begs the question has anybody rolled the score?

:? :? :?

Just the imaginative fun a child can have swapping a few heads onto a few bodies for hours...their introduction into eventual deranged adult modern-day Franciskensteins. Look! They're smiling!

I blame SSMM for goth.

I got my copy of Strawberry Shortcake sealed in a trade. I don't remember what I traded for it, but I think the value was approx. $10. I actually gave it to my wife and she loved it, but I would have made that trade anyway because I'm a sick collector. And I love boxes.

This is one game I have never played. I remember once I was over at someones house and they had it. And I wanted to try it because I hadn't and it WAS on the Atari so thats all that mattered... But it seems to me we couldn't play it for some reason. I think all we could hear was the sound or something. From the sound of it...There's not much to it anyways.

For Atari, I pick up anything that I can get my hands on if it's the right price. Doesn't matter if it will never be in my 2600 longer than it takes to see if the thing’s working or not. All 2600 carts are fair game.

For the other consoles I have, I only pick up games that I want to play or, at least, look interesting.

Strawberry Shortcake: A Child's Introduction to Cross-Dressing...

My memory must have a hole. I don't recall anything like this about Strawberry Shortcake. Anyone got an illustration?

There is a loose copy of this game with so-so label at one of my local sources and it is tempting me like you would not believe. I'm a big "player not collector" guy, but when I see a cart I do not have, it gets VERY hard to pass it up. Particularly when its a third party game.

But yeah, if I buy it, it will be for "collecting" purposes only. :P

Sure sure...

It's the "Frankenstein" thing

Heh, When I first tried to read that before copying and pasting, I thought it said "It's the transvestite thing" :D
