80 or 100 Microsoft Points

I got a message from Microsoft telling me to check out their new games marketplace last night and giving me a code for 80 Microsoft points that had to be used by next Wednesday. I went ahead and picked up 8 Ball Pool Champion from the Indie game store. I was wondering if anyone else got that message?

 

Oh and the Game Marketplace didn't look any different than it has for awhile.

I would completely recommend Score Rush, Beat Hazard or Decimation X3 if you're a shoot em up fan.

 

Beat Hazard is most played by me, because it mixes the two things I love the most, techno and shmups.

Yeah that's where I redeemed the code for the 100 points. Also says I'm in a drawing for other prizes.

Same here, so much for being a subscriber for years, all the marketplace videos I've bought, dozens of XBLA games, lots of expansions, and dozens of retail games.

 

They didn't give me anything when Xbox 1 support was turned off either, despite the account being more active on the original Xbox than it was on the 360.

I signed up for XBox rewards.

 

I got the message for 80 free points when I logged onto XBox Live last night. It came there, NOT to my e-mail account. The date indicates it went out very late on 2-23. It's a code that you then punch in and redeem.

Yup....rewards member also. Maybe they found out somehow that i have been playing alot of Killzone 3 and they said "Screw this guy....trader!!!"

I never signed up for Xbox Rewards. Looks like a person had to be a rewards member to get the 100 point VIP thingy.

I've been a Live member for like 6 years. A Gold member for as long as that's been available. Rewards member for as long as that's been around (just a few months or so, right?). Purchased way too many Arcade games.

 

What did I get?

 

Nothing.

I got my free 80 points. I'm saving for Torchlight, so I didn't want to spend more than the 80. It came down to a Defense Grid map pack or an indie. I went with the indie and got Bonded realities, a piss-poor RPG. At least it was found money.
