Yes you can. APE has a built-in Telnet client that you enable in the Ape R: section so you can load ICE-T, go to terminal mode, hit the <RETURN> key and you should see the APE outbound telnet menu. Then use a command like:

OPEN bfbbs.no-ip.com

to login to an internet bbs.

You need to run a RS232.COM or something like that handler first.

The Atari does not have the R: handler by itself. Some Atari terminal programs (like bobterm) do download the R: handler from the sio device (like an 850, or in your case APE).

ON the Ice-T disk there is something like boot850.hnd or so? That is probably a loadable binary file.

Good luck

M.

APE for Windows 3.0.6 registered comes with an already configured IceT .ATR. It's in C:\Program files\APE for Windows\Disk Images\ATR.

I tried it and it works, no R: handler required. This is with a serial port SIO2PC. I guess

do the server mode modem config. with your SIO2USB, I'm using client outbound only.

OR... SIO2USB interface may require the R: handler. I don't see how a MIO would effect this,

You aren't using the serial port on the MIO.

It works the same way with the Ape USB interface.

But you have to un-assign the R: port in the MIO or it will not work.

Where do you get a version of Contiki that runs on the A8? I can't find it anywhere, or maybe I'm just not looking in the right place.
