Cupcakus #1 Posted December 17, 2002 I spent the day on a web site instead of the Flash Cartridge for a change... and I got it up on one of those Freebee web site dealeys... Apart from an obscure Netscape problem.. the site is done and ready for some action. Most of it is old news for those of your following my Flash Cart progress... however I have for the first time posted a binary and images of my upcoming homebrew game "Quest"... So check it out!! http://www31.brinkster.com/cupcakus/
MrRetroGamer #2 Posted December 17, 2002 Looks good, except for all those Porno pop-ups! OK, just kidding, no porno, the site looks great! I'm actually impressed with a free site that doesn't have ANY popups. I might have to check into them! Never heard of Brinkster before.
Cupcakus #3 Posted December 17, 2002 Looks good, except for all those Porno pop-ups! OK, just kidding, no porno, the site looks great! I'm actually impressed with a free site that doesn't have ANY popups. I might have to check into them! Never heard of Brinkster before. To my knowledge they are the only one that does offer free web pages with no ads. There is a bandwith limitation of 500mb/month which is very very little... so no downloads. And the way you upload files into your server is 5 files at a time through a crappy web interaface... But you can't complain if it's free right? :-)

Paul Slocum #5 Posted December 17, 2002 The site looks great! I transfer about a gig a month off my site (excluding slashdotting) and that's with a bunch of Synthcart mp3s and stuff, so I bet you'll be fine. Look like you can upgrade to the $3.95 a month for 2 gig xfer if needed. Hope your flashcart development is moving along well. I think it's going to be great for developers that didn't manage to snag a CCart. If I'm in good financial shape when they come out I might get one just for the faster download and persistent flash. -Paul

Cupcakus #7 Posted December 17, 2002 I ran an internet game years ago that I funded from banner ads. When the Banner Ad market dropped considerably my agent told me I had to put pop-up ads on my site, or they would not pay me anymore. I took the site down the next day. Pop-Up ads are the bane of my existance :-) You will never find one in my web site :-)
