"Intellivision lives" website redirection to malicious site

Recommended Posts

While viewing the Intellivision Lives website, it keeps trying to load a malicious website (something with the word "gator" in it) that my virus protection program recognizes as an attack. Anyone else have this problem?

I remember an ad software called Gator who is a pain in the A** it came with some p2p aplications, you where forced to install it or the software didn´t work. Even if is a software that you install by yourselve, you can remove it using AntiSpyware Sw, like Spybot Search and Destroy (free)

Yes, Gator ... A very well known password caching program that proportedly "helped" you by caching your website passwords to various sites, and some local programs as well. I don't like any application that makes it difficult to NOT install, and then to UNINSTALL it.

Actually, while I was able to go right to the site as well, my Norton Security did send me a message that it had thwarted an attempted attack....icon_ponder.gif

Well, at least I know I'm not the only one this has happened to!

Does it happen as soon as you land on the page or do you have to wait a while? I didn't wait very long, just zoomed in and zoomed out to check if if there was anything.

When it does happen, immediately the URL is a different URL that has the word "gator" in it, then it gets redirected to the actual website and my anti-virus software says that there was an attempted attack on my computer.
