Cynicaster #1 Posted March 12, 2011 (edited) quiz I'm kind of disappointed at how poorly I did. How about you? Be honest--no cheating. EDIT: it's for systems released in the US only, including portables. Edited March 12, 2011 by Cynicaster

Cynicaster #4 Posted March 12, 2011 "You got 35 out of 68 answers correct" not bad. Heh, if that's not bad then I feel better about getting 39.

Rikkarr #6 Posted March 12, 2011 (edited) "You got 52 out of 68 answers correct." Not bad! It was easier once I realized that you can do handhelds as well Edited March 12, 2011 by Rikkarr
BassGuitari #7 Posted March 12, 2011 (edited) 55 of 68. I missed: [*SPOILER ALERT*] Nintendo Game & Watch Emerson Arcadia 2001 PV-1000 Turbo Express Watara Supervision Mega Duck Tiger R-Zone GamePark 32 Tapwave Zodiac Ngage XaviXport Gizmondo GP2X I have to call shenanigans though, since a couple of those aren't really consoles, and some others were not released in the U.S. Also, I'm not sure why the Odyssey 400 needed to be in there. Nothing against the Odyssey 400, but it seems kind of random in this context...and Odyssey is already well-represented with the 100 and 200 (not to mention the original). If they needed another Odyssey unit, I'd say the Odyssey 500 is a much more seminal system (color graphics and player sprites, oooh!). Generally, this is a pretty cool quiz, though. I'm glad it wasn't all Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft systems, with maybe a token Atari 2600 for "street cred." HatefulGravey #8 Posted March 12, 2011 40, but to be fair I couldn't get a few in there in the way they wanted them listed. like the (well, I wont ruin it for the next guy), which is clearly the way to spell that out.... either way 40 isn't bad for me. Strangely I missed more new then old system.
MagitekAngel #10 Posted March 12, 2011 48 - I didn't think the Intellivision II counted...
nightwheel #11 Posted March 12, 2011 (edited) Here's my results: http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t29/nightwheel/consoletestcap.jpg To be fair, I did use google to look up the proper spelling for "Intellivision". But thats the only time I used google. Another thing, how did I forget the Game Gear and the Master System? Especially since they came to mind while I was doing the quiz. dooglehead #13 Posted March 12, 2011 I got 46/68. I would get another one, but I couldn't figure out how to spell it.
A_Locomotive #14 Posted March 12, 2011 I got 0. I was expecting it to be like quiz where it gives a bit of trivia or shows a picture and you have to name it. I'm a complete moron when it comes to actual release dates.
Eltigro #15 Posted March 12, 2011 I got 0. I was expecting it to be like quiz where it gives a bit of trivia or shows a picture and you have to name it. I'm a complete moron when it comes to actual release dates. Same, I didn't try it. I would probably get a few right, but I don't remember the dates all these things came out. If it was a bunch of pictures and said, "What system is this?" I'd probably do okay.
CGQuarterly #16 Posted March 13, 2011 You don't have to remember dates. You just type the names of as many systems as you can think of and it fills them in next to their release year. I got 47/68 and didn't miss any systems of importance. Pretty fun. Chris
BrianC #17 Posted March 13, 2011 (edited) I got 38 or so. Fun, but it's odd that it has some pong clones, but lacks RCA studio 2 and Video Pinball (it has pinball and breakout, so it's not single game, though still not cart based). Not to mention the disclaimer that it lacks single game systems but still including pong and game and watch (single game stand alone handhelds). Also, it includes Intellivision II despite that it's just a smaller version of the Intellivision. Sega CD-X should have been left out too. Crazy Climber #19 Posted March 13, 2011 I got 46 right, even nailed a few of the oddball ones. There were a few I saw afterwards that I could have thought of with a little more time but 2 that I have no excuse for missing were the Gamecube and Vectrex

AtariLeaf #21 Posted March 14, 2011 I guessed Atari. . . after that I drew a blank. Didn't know other systems existed.
Animan #22 Posted March 14, 2011 I saw some kids doing this while we were at computer camp back in Summer of 2010. When I named more than half the list, they knew something was wrong with me .
Pong #23 Posted March 14, 2011 http://img713.imageshack.us/img713/2478/resultsz.jpg There we are. I went a LOT better than expected- all the consoles that are in red, I've never heard of. Gave up at the 2 minute mark, couldn't guess any more (got an extra 3 out of it, I've never heard of the CD32- trying to make the CD 32X )
DickNixonArisen #24 Posted March 14, 2011 Yeah, why is the INTV2 counted when GEN 2 and 3 or INTV 3 aren't? Etc, etc. Still, fun quiz. 39/68 Missed odyssey 100, 200, 400 Astrocade Game n watch (not one system) Emerson Arcadia Lynx Jaguar (!) Virtual boy (!!) N64 (!!!) GP2x (thought it was GPX-2 OR GPX2) flashback 1 and 2 (not a real system to me, more like a jakks pacific tv plugin) Intellivision 2 (wouldn't take INTV 2) Turbografx-16 (wouldn't take TG-16 or TG16 even though it was happy with NES and SNES), or my mispelling of "Turbografyx-16" what about the wonderswan? no us release I guess
Sonic R #25 Posted March 14, 2011 I got 51… I missed the Telstar as I kept spelling it as 'Telestar' and it doesn't have Adventurevision or RCA Studio II on it… also, was the Amiga CDTV released in the USA?
