Gorfy #4 Posted March 14, 2011 Im from Cleveland but I've never heard of the Cleveland Show Family Guy spin-off.... I get it, Cleveland is the character's name
AtariLeaf #5 Posted March 14, 2011 The thing about spinoffs is they usually take the unfunniest characters to spin off - "After Mash" anyone.
Zwackery #6 Posted March 14, 2011 After Cleveland buys the rest of his childhood toys from his father (too late on the TRON helmet!), the next shot cuts to his now retro-decorated bedroom, complete with a 2600 on the floor. I started howling with laughter and my girlfriend started rolling her eyes. You cannot deny the power of Atari! Ha ha! Anyhow, I thought it was great that the game they were playing was Kramer vs. Kramer.
S1500 #7 Posted March 14, 2011 They also had a Donkey Kong bit on American Dad on the moonshine episode.

Nukey Shay #11 Posted March 16, 2011 Soap, of course. And Benson too was not as good.
Miss 2600 #12 Posted March 16, 2011 The first season of The Cleveland Show I did not like, but, I'll admit, it has really improved this season. I might consider buying the 2nd Season DVD set when it comes out and I didn't think I'd ever get The Cleveland Show DVDs.
mbd30 #13 Posted March 16, 2011 At first I hated the idea of "The Cleveland Show", but I've since warmed up to it. It's just more of the same from Seth's animation mill, and since I watch his other shows (except "Bob's Burgers" where I've only seen the pilot) every week on FOX, I might as well watch TCS. Although the episode where they eat boogers is a new low in terms of revolting juvenile humor.

Bob's Burgers is by Loren Bouchard, not Seth. And I agree, at first Cleveland wasn't as good as Family Guy but it's begun to get settled in it's own direction and identity now I think. Thanks for the info re "Bob's Burgers". I guess I just assumed that it's another Seth show since it's on FOX on Sunday nights. It did seem like a radical change in style for him, like he was trying to copy Adult Swim or something. Edited March 16, 2011 by mbd30
