ozma wars #2 Posted March 16, 2011 great but why a puzzle game and not an arcade port ? we need more programmers involved in that. Only a player comment, no else. Max

Max Next one will be Metal Slug ! Just joking :D I do the game i like, that's all ... If i have the possibilities and the time (lot of time) i'd like to do a completely original game, not an adaptation.
ozma wars #6 Posted March 16, 2011 bfg may be, because of my bad english, I create a misunderstanding. Simply, once finished the game, may be you can work to an arcade port. best regards from Milano.

Simply, once finished the game, may be you can work to an arcade port. best regards from Milano. There's no problem The next one will be an action arcade port. But it won't say the name because it will be more difficult to do than a puzzle game (Technically, there will be sprite and some IA ...).

SNK, 1981, in black and white. I would buy cart no. 1 and could "finance" the project in advance, whether you could find it easy to do. That was my first arcade I played, winter '81. Or can pay you with some kilos of Colecovision Sunrise games ... . because in black & white I think game would have a certain mistique power...for Colecovision fanatics only. Yurkie #10 Posted March 16, 2011 Could you please explain what makes the blocks explode?
bfg.gamepassion #11 Posted March 16, 2011 Could you please explain what makes the blocks explode? Ok, consider the red blocks as bomb. Unlike Tetris, if you do a full line with no bombs it won't disapear, but it will count when you'll do a next line. For example, you do a full line with bomb. The bomb explosion will be 5x1 (1 line of 5 column) of destruction. But if you do 2 full line , all the bombs on the line will explode in 5x3 (3 line of 5 column), and lit other bomb in the blast area for a chain reaction. I don't know if i'm clear. The goal is to clear the level. First level are easy, there's a megabomb in each of them and have classic Tetris piece falling. At level 5 for example, there's no more megabomb. You can create one with 4 bomb in square, and the falling piece are not all the classic Tetris. It become harder.

bfg.gamepassion #18 Posted March 20, 2011 Hi ! The game arrived to the end of the developpement cycle. I just need to do a menu, balancing the difficulty, and the continue option (and remove the splash screen to gain rom memory ...). BUT !! The game has no music, no sound. Is there someone here who's interested for doing a music for this game and helping me ?
Kiwi #19 Posted March 20, 2011 You probably could PM Newcoleco to help you with the music. He's pretty good with music.

Ikrananka #25 Posted March 21, 2011 I have to agree with the others that the new graphics are awesome. The game now looks like a high quality commercial release - well done. The only thing I'm not so keen on are the explosions and how they propagate outside of the play area. Is that how the original was?
