peedenmark7 #1 Posted March 17, 2011 Hi guys...New to this portion of the forum, I am not an atari computer guy, my interest lies only in 5200/7800 end of the product line. I had a party recently contact me offering some 2600 games and a few commodore 64 disc games that I had been looking for. the drawback is he had a shop at some point and has a few 800 systems, games and all kinds of other accessories and programing stuff , tandy ibm , commodore stuff that I have to take along with to get what I am wanting. I have a feeling i will have nearly a full van of this stuff.. I have no idea as to the value of the 800 disc/cartridge games and complete systems, memory expansion stuff, and have NO interest in opening a new old stock computer store for the rest..especially on ebay with all the b.s. fees they keep sneaking in... I guess where I am going with this is, would I be fool not to take all this stuff ? some is used, some is NOS boxed, other brand monitors, drives, etc.
fibrewire #2 Posted March 17, 2011 Yes, a fool. You could probably sell every bit on here over a month or two. Heck, all of it to me over the course of a year!
+orpheuswaking #3 Posted March 17, 2011 Indeed... Put it up in the marketplace in lots or single pieces and it will get snapped up... I'm always looking for NOS boxed and items I may not already have.
Havok69 #4 Posted March 17, 2011 Definitely! I'll be watching the Marketplace. There's a definite market here to sell those items, it will not end up being a waste for you.
peedenmark7 #5 Posted March 17, 2011 Thanks for the advice guys, I should have most of this stuff here in the next week or so. kind of a daunting task really as its not my thing ! I'll likely then do a little research as a base point, and list everything here to start, you guys can have at 'er. Will definitely be open to 5200,7800 trades , as well as any of the new releases for or multi cart stuff in my area of interest.

Mclaneinc #10 Posted March 22, 2011 That's some sweet haul, I'd love to win the lottery and replace all my old gear... Makes me sad that due to space etc I had to throw out 3 boxes of c64 tapes, 100's and hundred's of them, no one would take them at no cost..
+Philsan #11 Posted March 22, 2011 I love NOSs!
fibrewire #12 Posted March 22, 2011 (edited) Can't wait for NOS TODAY!!! Heh, watch it be a truckload of NOS ICD Gear! R-Time 8's, SpartaDOS X's, MIO's and PRC's. Even better, would be Atari-Corvus interface NIB! Edited March 22, 2011 by fibrewire

peedenmark7 #15 Posted March 23, 2011 Most of what is left is posted in the market place... quick question... I had to take a boatload of varying printer ribbons.. ranging from large brother to small panasonic ones..all boxed does anyone even use this stuff these days or can I dump it all ? I also have a boatlaod of boxed and or packaged cables.. most appear to be IBM , some amiga, interex and lifeline boxed. eagle/kaypro to centronics, or male centronics to male centronics.. all looks old school compared to today..amiga printer, centronics female to centronics female. is there really any market for this or should I also ash can these ? seems a shame as all of this stuff is new boxed... It wouldn't surprise me if you manage to sell the ribbons. I recently had to order a new one for my Panasonic 24-pin, so there are a few of us crazy people still using them. peedenmark7 #18 Posted April 3, 2011 (edited) We are still weeding through all this stuff... sort of disappointed in the lack of true atari stuff. especially when thats what was promised. lots of boxed printers, tractors, hundreds of ribbons, disk drive guts. IBM covers, seems there is more IBM stuff than anything...Is this worth listing here or on craigslist or will the end result listing it really be a waste of time? seems guys dont want the atari, apple, ibm what have you software , unless its free. I'd like all this stuff out of my garage.. minimal local hits... your thoughts .? Edited April 3, 2011 by peedenmark7
