mr. toast #1 Posted March 19, 2011 (edited) Stern Pinball's latest creation... The flyer from Arcade Flyers http://flyers.arcade-museum.com/flyers_pinball/sternpin/44003701.jpg The only difference really is that the screen shows the Stern Pinball logo, not just "STERN" There wasn't anyone at the pinball (9 out of 10 people there were 16 year olds) so I racked up a nice score. A few pics from my phone's camera, since I wasn't really expecting this... 1-the bottom part of the pinball action, light up the six characters for the multiball!! 2-top part of the action, very hard to see but a large purple ampsuit is a target. Also, this "ball locked" thing is across from the ampsuit, which gets really annoying if the game is getting fast paced (which happens rarely, but extremely fun if it does) 3-the machine in full jutting out from its little stall. the stalls were mainly for stand up video game cabinets, not pinballs. Your typical pinball cabinet. 4-my high score after spending about $4 (50 cents per 3 balls), with an extra ball every 10,800,000 points. Forgot to get a good pic of the marquee, but just like the flyer, it has stunning 3D graphics. Very awesome!!! I hope this lasts in the arcade long since they put it right next to the cash guzzler Dance Dance Revolution (in fact, I played a full game of DDR with a credit still in the machine, went back and it was still there.) Hope you guys enjoy this!!! Definitely planning on going back!!! :D Edited March 19, 2011 by mr. toast
keilbaca #2 Posted April 8, 2011 Oh awesome, I didn't know stern pumped out another one. I just wish they would make something unique instead of movie/tv show games...
Crazy Climber #3 Posted April 9, 2011 Avatar is fun, it's no Spiderman but it is still good. My friend bought one, then sold it, then bought the limited edition. I thought it was kind of shitty that Stern sold the limited edition versions a few months AFTER the initial release and not at the same time. Big fans had to buy a second one if they wanted the LE and then had to sell there original one, kind of a hassle but I guess it helped Stern sell more of them so must be a marketing thing. I was going to try out the new Stern Rolling Stones at the MGC but the line was too long so I never did get a chance since there was so many other things I wanted to check out. Amen brother, your not the only one but when you are the ONLY pinball manufacter you get to call the shots - lol. Jersey Jack (soon to be the second pinball company with Wizard of Oz) should make things interesting again since there will finally be a little competition
mr. toast #5 Posted April 9, 2011 Eventually DID go back a few weeks later. Its MUCH more popular now; had to wait in line. Also got the multiball, which is easy to do once you figure out how to do it. I also think I got the replay (free credit) TWICE in one game, so that was pretty impressive. The other guys in front of me went back later and were like, "Aww, WTF? 19 million?"

Awesome I love playing pinball and setting scores, the local bar has a Harley Davidson pinball, and my top score there is 600+ mil... and I don't use the button to pop the center post up. I average 400 mil... When I show up and start playing, the other people in the bar always rag on me about me breaking the machine, when it pops for a replay.
