BillC #2 Posted March 23, 2011 There are a bunch of loose disk drive boards, and all kinds of other boards that I have absolutely no clue what they are ! you'll have to come see them. I would recommend posting pictures of these boards, as there are rare/collectible ones for the Atari 8-bits. Examples would be the CSS Black Box and the optional Floppy Board shown below. A working CSS Black Box would probably be worth several hundred $, more with the Floppy Board. They sometimes are in a black plastic case with rounded corners. CSS Black Box circuit board Optional Floppy Board for CSS Black Box Additional possibilities: Corvus HDD interface for Atari 800 Austin Franklin 80-column board for the Atari 800 Bit3 80-column board for the Atari 800 Magna Systems RAM boards for the Atari 800 - 256K/512K/1M Axlon 128K RAM board for the Atari 800 Mosaic 32K/64K boards for the Atari 400/800 And more..... I made him an offer on the boards sight unseen and he didn't take it, good thing because if he keeps pulling out 1983 PC multifunction cards and 256k memory cards I would have gotten a box of crap. +orpheuswaking #16 Posted March 31, 2011 beginning to toss items that aren't moving. Or how about offering for a lower price rather than trash it? or send it for shipping costs and a few bucks?
+wood_jl #17 Posted March 31, 2011 beginning to toss items that aren't moving. Or how about offering for a lower price rather than trash it? or send it for shipping costs and a few bucks? Agreed. Why don't you take offers, for lots? Probably not worth your time, packing, and a trip to the post office for a $1 item - but why not take a few bucks for a few items (minumum)? It's hard to justify $15 for one program that's not really in demand, in an age when the entire software library for the Atari8 or ST is available as a Pirate Bay torrent. That's why stuff isn't moving. However, some people might buy a few items, simply as nostalgia to have around. Pictures would also help, as it's hard to tell exactly what some of that stuff is, but a picture of the package might help. I don't understand putting it in the garbage, though. peedenmark7 #18 Posted March 31, 2011 (edited) Ive been open to that from the git-go, and that should be clear by my asking for offers on other things. Ive made several package deals with folks here and all seemed happy in the end to get what they got. my collection is comprised of 5200 ,7800 , and some scant c-64 stuff ONLY, so uch of this does me any good , not to mention its taking up space in the garage. I was led to believe i was getting a ton of sealed 2600 games, along with about 100 sealed c64 games, and a bunch of 800 stuff on top... for what I ended up with in the end I never would have taken this little task on. I am not going to send things out for shipping costs, I don't have that kind of time . With the closest post office 6 miles one way, and another 15 miles away. I am not going to scrounge up boxes and buy packing materials or drive around for the sake of doing so. most of this stuff Ive let go well below what Ive seen it sell for on ebay, I've had few guys here tell me I am letting some things go for too cheap...No biggie.. As for snapping pics... i have a garage full of stuff...I have snapped many pics for those wanting specific items, to do so of each and every item without interest makes no sense to me. I may be sending the entire lot to france, I'll have to see how that develops in the next day or so. meantime ,offer away. I have a bunch of IBM stuff, a NOS in the box apple 2E with monitor and dual disc drives, tons of printer crap...
