Mirage #2 Posted April 1, 2011 Probably, but still worth a shot! I'd call the guy. I'll bet the number is for an ex-girlfriend though.
HatefulGravey #3 Posted April 1, 2011 You'd be a fool not to call. There is a chance you will get laughed at or something, but there is also a chance you will get a fantastic deal on that game. The reward is much higher the the risk on this one.
AtariLeaf #4 Posted April 1, 2011 (edited) Isn't that the picture from the woman who found the Stadium Events? The one that led to all the hoopla and made the news because of the thousands it sold for. She originally had the system and five games. I'm sure this is just an April Fools joke using the same picture Edited April 1, 2011 by AtariLeaf
Koopa64 #5 Posted April 1, 2011 That pic has been stolen. Don't exactly have proof but it was once for a legitimate eBay auction. I think it ended for $13,000. IIRC it was the auction that really started the Stadium Events craze.

IIRC it was the auction that really started the Stadium Events craze. Yeah, I recall the story, it was reported in several major print and TV sites. What happened is that this mother was clearing out her basement one day and found her kids old NES and some games for it. They weren't using it anymore, of course, so she figured she'd get some money for it and listed the system and the four games on EBay. Took one picture showing the system and the very good condition complete games. They were SMB 3, Turtles 2, another game I can't recall, and Stadium Events. She had no idea the game was rare or worth a lot, until offers and messages started coming in. To her credit, she let it run to the end. Due to the attention the story got, other people started digging through their attics and basements looking to see what they had. Both Taiman's boxed copy of Air Raid and the sealed Stadium Events that sold for 41k came as a result of this.

Thanks for jogging the neurons for me
