cimerians #1 Posted December 19, 2002 I haven't checked these boards in ages but I thought I'd post this here in case nobody knows about it: Here's a parts store where you can get a replacement internal connector. Just yank the old one out and insert the new one and voila! Brand new NES. Your games won't flicker any more, but you still need to keep your games clean of course. http://www.goodmans.net/product_informatio...ept=250&last=57 Its easy to install (you only need a screwdriver) and they shipped me one within a week. Again, I'm only posting this message for those who didn't know about this website and want to fix their Nintendo system..... Hope it helps.
moycon #2 Posted December 19, 2002 Very cool thanks. I have an old NES I took all apart to be able to play it. Now I'll be able to restore it to its original glory.

moycon #5 Posted December 19, 2002 Wow that ones cheaper. Have you odered from there before? I plan on getting one in a few hours when I get home. I'd snag the second one because of the price if the place is reliable.
Rockin' Kat #6 Posted December 19, 2002 yeah, like I said that's the one in my deck. I got two of them(one for my deck and one for a deck that I was going to be sending off to someone), they had a limit on how small the box was going to be so the shipping would likely be the same regardless of whether you bought 1 or 7... I think shipping was something like $12 UPS... I didn't acctually pay for it because I made a little trade deal with someone else and they were the one that acctualy paid for the ports.. but I think that's how much shipping was. You may want to try their 800 number to get a clear idea about shipping. If you decide to buy from there you'll need to go to the main page and register an account(that part is free). Anyway, regardless of where you get your cartridge port you'll want to remember one thing. No matter how new the port is, if you stuff it full with enough crud it will stop working, so be sure to use Alcohol and Q-tips to clean all your cartridges before you use them with the new port for the first time.
